Pressure release

Throughout the book, Junior tends to make fun himself. He makes fun of his heritage, culture, and the way he looks and acts. I think he does this to relieve some of the pressure that gets put on him. Some of the pressure he puts on himself by going to a different school, but some of the pressure is from his given position in society. I am of course talking about how he is a minority and how he has a mental handicap and lets face it some people can be racist or just plain mean. So to relieve this pressure that has been put on him, he makes fun of himself. Its something that I think we all should do. Just laugh a little.
